goob's room - teddy cross stitch frame makeover

back with another little update on goob's room.

when i was pregnant with the gorgeous goob (my first wee baby) - i made a teddy cross stitch and framed it in an inexpensive frame awaiting the birth of our first child. (those were the days. no children and time to actually cross stitch!!!)

here's how it's been looking for the past 15 years.....

and with a little bit of paint - and some rough rubbing back in parts with some sand paper - the frame started to look like this.....

and here's what it looks like - full shot.....

looking loads better i think!
and so you don't have to scroll.....

we're getting there - one makeover at a time!!

we're having some lovely august weather down here - so very nice to see the sun.
let's hope the super cold weather is behind us for now.

p.s. i'm linking to the lovely Christina from Christina's Adventures - where on Thursday she has links to projects that cost under $20.  this little upgrade project of mine cost nothing - as i already had the supplies on hand.
hugz from me.

  2. Love the frame make-over. It really brightens it up. And that fishing bear is adorable!
